Gore Gore Girl Interviews Dana for AdultDVDTalk
VENICE, CA – Dana Vespoli has two July releases on the shelves, one each from Sweetheart Video and her own DV imprint from Evil Angel.
Lesbian Extreme (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel) was released July 2 and the next day Tombois 3 (Sweetheart Video) hit the shelves. She spoke about the Tombois series in her new interview with Captain Jack at AdultDVDTalk—and it’s a series that is more difficult to put together than it may seem.
“The first Tombois that was ever done, Mile High had a lot of success with it. It’s clearly something that works well,” Dana said. “The second one, the trickiest part was finding butch girls that had a broad enough appeal. I met Jiz Lee and I adore her. I think she has a lot of appeal of being boyish yet having a lot of feministic components. But it gets tricky with some people. Tombois 3, I got really fucking lucky. Somehow these people fell into my lap. Nikki Heart, who’s newer but has a pretty pixie face with a lot of boyish attributes as well. Lily Labeau had just come off of shaving her head so she had very short hair and had that allure as an androgynous beauty. Sinn Sage is really feminine but she has a boyish quality. And then there’s Ash Hollywood. I just got lucky with finding a good crop of believable butchy yet universally appealing girls.”
Dana is now turning her camera toward a new edition of Lesbian Adventures for Sweetheart, which will be subtitled Older Women with Younger Girls. The movie will star Carter Cruise, Sara Luvv, Ava Addams, Eva Karrera, Janice Griffith and Ashlyn Molloy. She is also getting ready to shoot Femdom Ass Massacre Extreme Humiliation for Evil Angel.

Headlined “Renaissance Woman: An Interview With Dana Vespoli,” It is another opportunity to explore the thoughtfulness and intelligence of this wildly popular performer/director. Here’s a small sample, Dana talking about how she brings more subjectivity to the men in her movies than traditional porn titles.
“I like to see everybody having sex, and that was one of my problems early on, watching porn—I couldn’t see the guys. Sometimes my interest is not just in watching the woman’s reaction to what’s happening, but it’s also the man’s. I like to see the connection between two people, not just a girl getting railed. So, when I shoot I like to show the guys reacting also. Seeing the guys enjoying what’s happening, and seeing her making eye contact, that for me is what makes it sexy.”
