XCritic Interview: The Busting Out of Avi Love’s Sexuality

Credits the Adult Industry for Helping Her Bisexuality Blossom

VENICE, CA – Avi Love did an XCritic Snapchat takeover last week and the site dropped an interview with her the same day, making it unofficially Avi Love Day on the venerable site.

Avi tells of how her career – which began by answering a Craigslist ad – got off to a rocky start before she blossomed into the spectacular star she is today, an award-winning superstarlet crowned and renowned for both her sex scenes and for her acting. Probably. Her best-known role to date was as the lead in Axel Braun’s The Possession of Mrs. Hyde (Wicked), which garnered her trophies for Best Actress in a Feature Movie at the XBIZ Awards and Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene at the AVN Awards. Naturally that role came up with she spoke with XCritic’s Don Juan DeMarko.

“It is so funny, because I feel that I can relate to that character so much,” Avi said. “That character, she is so much like Avi. I am very shy and very timid in real life, but when Avi comes out, she is just so wild. She is a crazy woman in the bedroom, and she gets crazy in front of the camera.”

She talks about length about the journey that led her to realize she is bisexual and the societal conditions that repress the concept for so many people, that Americans are taught that it is weird and unnatural.

“The industry has opened my eyes and my mind to the fact that it is OK to be attracted to another woman,” she said. “I just truly came to terms with that very recently. I remember the day so well. I had to tell everyone. I had to tell the world and I remember getting up, making up my mind after some deep thought that I was going to post on Twitter, that ‘I am one hundred percent bisexual.’ When I see a woman, I just think that she is gorgeous.”

This revelation must have something to do with how her scenes with men and with women are equally hot. Great Reviews Rolling in for Romi Rain Showcases

The statement “do not believe everything you hear” can definitely be applied to Joslyn James. It’s unfortunate that the public already has an image of this woman without ever hearing her side or getting to know her. This talented lady does not deserve to be defined by that one relationship that everyone has ingrained in their heads. By having interviewed her, I was surprised by many of her responses and appreciated her taking the time to do this interview. XCritic: Hi Joslyn, I admire your dedication to give back to the less fortunate as you do with a percentage of your total sales from your glass adult toys. Where did that compassionate heart of yours come from? Did you have it as a young girl?

Joslyn: I have always been a caring person. I’m not the type to stand by and watch when I can do something to help. Even the smallest act of kindness can mean the world to someone that needs it. I’ve been this way since I was a child in my hometown of Mayfield, NY.

XCritic: You are also well known for your exciting dance shows. How does it feel to meet your fans and to dance in front of this loyal bunch?
