Mick Blue Wins Male Performer of the Year at 2015 AVN Awards

Historic: Wife Anikka Albrite Also Wins Female Performer of the Year

VENICE, CA – Mick Blue was part of a historic win over the weekend when he won Male Performer of the Year at the 2015 AVN Awards, followed just moments later by the announcement that his wife, Anikka Albrite, had won Female Performer of the Year. Mick is also the first Austrian to ever win the award.

This marks the first time ever that a husband and wife have been awarded Performer of the Year honors, let alone in the same year. Mick also won four other awards, including the coveted Most Outrageous Sex Scene.

“I was extremely overwhelmed to win Performer of the Year, but even more it was that Anikka won as well,” Mick said. That was a dream come true for me, because I wished so much that she could win the award this year. This was the most memorable day of my life after our wedding day.

Anikka Albrite Wins Female Performer of the Year at 2015 XBIZ Awards

Best Scene Trophy; Among CNBC’s Biggest Porn Stars; Signing for JJV at AEE

VENICE, CA – The 2015 XBIZ Awards was a night to remember for Anikka Albrite, who won her first Female Performer of the Year title at the ceremony in Los Angeles.

Anikka went in with seven nominations and left with two trophies, also scoring a win for Best Scene – Couples-Themed Release for her work in Untamed Heart (Adam & Eve) with Tommy Gunn.

“All the women in my category are amazing and so deserving of this award,” she told XBIZ at the show. “Fortunately, I’ve had the privilege of working with most of them. I’m incredibly honored that I was chosen. My heart is overflowing.”

At almost the same time CNBC was releasing it’s annual “The Dirty Dozen: Porn’s Biggest Stars” feature, which said wonderful things about Anikka.

“She started her meteoric rise last year and has seen it continue this year,” they wrote,” mentioning that LA Weekly had named her among a handful of possible contenders for the “next Jenna Jameson” crown.

Fans will be able to congratulate Anikka in person this week as she signs at the Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas.
