Bonnie Rotten Scores 21 (More) Noms for 2015 AVN Awards

Performer, Director, Producer, Actress, Toy-Maker – Bonnie Is the Best!

VENICE, CA – Bonnie Rotten was on a plane headed back to Europe early this week, but not before she had the time to look at her many nominations for the 2015 AVN Awards. The second round of noms to be announced – fan voting categories were announced earlier – brought her 21 nominations, on top of the four fan voting noms, for a total of 25.

She is being recognized for her performing, producing, acting and directing. She even scored a nomination for her Pipedream Products line.

The reigning AVN Female Performer of the Year will have the chance to keep her crown and scored six Best Scene noms as well. She’s up for Best Actress for Cape Fear XXX and that movie also won her noms for Best Director – Parody and Best Parody. Mental Beauty is up for Best New Imprint and the company scored some great noms: Best Anal Release for Anal Candy Disco Chicks, which also has a Best Makeup nod, and Best BDSM Movie for To the Core.

Other nominations include Mainstream Star of the Year and Best Star Showcase for B for Bonnie (Jonni Darkko/Evil Angel)

“I’m very excited to see so much of my work nominated for the AVN Awards,” Bonnie said. “It was the busiest, craziest year of my life, but also the most rewarding. It’s been so awesome to be able to connect with fans in so many different ways. I wouldn’t trade places with anyone!”

B. Skow’s New Psychological Thriller ‘Control’ Tackles Modern Slavery

VENICE, CA – As police nationwide brace for unrest following the upcoming decision on whether or not to charge an officer in the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO, director B. Skow is courting his own new controversy.

Nearly three weeks ago he released his latest feature, Control, amidst an uproar of his move The Gardener. While critics were busy freaking out over The Gardener, a movie that will be considered by some to be even more controversial might have slipped by. Control touches on race issues and looks at modern-day slavery, which has been a sensitive topic for years.

Not unlike the situation in Missouri, Skow’s movie is a psychological thriller that builds tension until there is an explosion of intense hardcore performances. It’s all about control. The reviews haven’t started rolling in yet, but if the responses to his recent releases are any indication, some will be thrilled and some others might be afraid – very afraid.

“I know some of my movies can be a little intense for some people,” Skow said. “I love a simple gonzo porno as much as anyone, but sometimes I think we need to take things to the dark corners and see what’s going on there. Not everyone wants to go there, but for those who are willing, it can be a viewing experience you’ll never forget.”

The movie stars Skin Diamond, Claire Robbins, Darla Crane, Scott Lyons, Alec Knight and Kurt Lockwood.

His next release will be American Nannies, a hardcore gonzo title with what he calls “a ridiculous nanny story.”

American Nannies features an all-star cast of Dakota Skye, who is on the cover, Daisy Haze, Alexis Adams and Carter Cruise. With Steve Holmes, Mick blue, Ramon Nomar and Toni Ribas. Both Carter and Dakota do anal in the movie. The trailers will be rolling out this week.

VENICE, CA – Nominations were announced late last week the 2015 XBIZ Awards as well as the AVN Awards fan voting categories and Dana Vespoli snagged a dozen between the two.

Dana has 10 nominations from XBIZ and two from AVN. That’s four more nominations that she scored for the 2014 XBIZ Awards when she went home with the trophy for Director of the Year – Non-Feature Release for Girl/Boy (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel). Once again, her nominations are a testament to her versatility and sense of adventure as a director, covering releases in a wide range of categories: features, couples, transsexual, interracial and all-girl. Half of her XBIZ noms went to her biggest release of the year, Hollywood Babylon.

This year’s noms include Director of the Year – Body of Work; Director of the Year – Feature Release for Hollywood Babylon (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel); Couples-Themed Release of the Year and Screenplay of the Year for Hollywood Babylon; Interracial Release of the Year for Back in Black (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel); and Transsexual Release of the Year for TS I Love You (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel).

For the AVN Awards fan voting categories, Dana is nominated for Hottest MILF and Kinkiest Performer. Fans can vote at http://avnawards.avn.com/voting/.

Two movies directed by Dana release this week from her imprint at Evil Angel comes Dana Vespoli’s Real Sex Diary and Sweetheart releases Prison Lesbians this week.

“I’m curious to see the response,” Dana said recently. “It’s a big departure from what I normally do. If anything it kind of deconstructs porn scenes, which will appeal to some and put others off. Hopefully more people will like it than not.”

Real Sex stars Dana with James Deen, Tyler Nixon and Adrian Chechik. Prison Lesbians stars Sinn Sage, Karlie Montana, Charlotte Stokely, Dana DeArmond, Lily Cade, Nikki Hearts, Sara Luvv and Misha Cross.
