Being Pro-Condom Isn’t About Making Friends, It’s About Saving Lives

VENICE, CA – Bethany St. James isn’t afraid to stand by her beliefs just because some people might not like what she says and her blog has been eliciting some very strong reactions.

Last week Bethany—whose pro-condom stance for people both in the adult industry and out is well known—wrote a column about condoms and HIV in the porn industry that caused quite a stir. Titled “An Unfortunate Case in Point – HIV Rears It’s Head,” the column makes her case once again that mandatory condom use is a must in the industry.

“Condoms are necessary and I’m shocked to read that many of the performers I know and respect claim this news report to be nothing more than sensationalism,” she writes. “SENSATIONALISM?! Be serious. It’s HIV not TMZ, people.”

Bethany also makes her case (and a few others) in her fascinating interview with XCritic that went up just in time for the holiday weekend.
