‘The Possession of Mrs. Hyde’ Wins First Choice Award
VENICE, CA – Avi Love was named Best New Starlet (Editor’s Choice) at this weekend’s NightMoves Awards, adding even more fuel to a career that is already on fire.
The awards show was Sunday night in Tampa, FL, at the Tampa Gold Club, featured 10 acts ranging from music to adult performers. On top of winning Best New Starlet, The Possession of Mrs. Hyde (Wicked Pictures), in which she has the starring role as Mrs. Hyde, was chosen for the First Choice Award. These are “films selected for that award are those we feel will be major hits, but missed our voting deadline.”
“I was so, so, so excited to receive the Best New Starlet trophy at NightMoves,” Avi said. “They put on a tremendous show and it was a huge honor to have that special moment at the end of a magical weekend.”
Director Axel Braun’s The Possession of Mrs. Hyde is fresh in stores and features Avi’s meatiest acting role to date. Braun infamously said he had auditioned “a couple hundred girls” over 15 years of contemplating shooting the movie, his first feature since the classic Compulsion was released in 2003, and didn’t feel he could go on until he came across Avi.
The movie, which was shot in black and white, also stars Seth Gamble as Mr. Hyde and Tom Byron in the Jeckyl role. Hyde was written by Axel, his late father Lasse Braun, and Axel’s 25-year-old son Rikki Braun. Its roots lie in Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
