Legendary Director & Multi Award-Winning Performer Team Up for Another Blockbuster
VENICE, CA – Axel Braun’s much-anticipated first original feature in 15 years is set for VOD release by Wicked Pictures on Sept. 30
The movie, The Possession of Mrs. Hyde, stars Seth Gamble as Mr. Hyde with Avi Love as the Mrs. while Tom Byron has come out of retirement to tackle the Jeckyl role. The movie was written by Axel, his late father Lasse Braun, and Axel’s 25-year-old son Rikki Braun. Its roots lie in Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, given a triple Braun twist.
The hunky Seth is no stranger to Axel’s movies having starred as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars XXX, the most successful movie in adult history, as well as 24 XXX and Suicide Squad XXX, both of which won Movie of the Year, Cinderella XXX, Suicide Squad XXX and was the lead in Deadpool XXX. He is one of the industry’s most respected actors and went to acting school for two years and studied the Meisner technique.
“I have to say it’s always an amazing opportunity to work for Axel,” says Gamble. “He has always believed in me which I’ve always felt deep gratitude for that. In playing Edward Hyde I really dug deep.”
Seth poured his heart and soul into the project, holding nothing back from the famous director.
“When we discussed the role I was completely honored to take it on for the personal nature of the project for the Braun family,” Gamble continues. “I challenged myself by digging into my own personal demons to methodically play the character. I have to say playing this role was by far the most personal I have ever gone with a character because I believed in the entirety of the production from the cast and crew and everything in between. It was an honor to play this role and I’m excited for the reveal of this production I put my heart into.”
Seth has two XBIZ Best Actor trophies, a pair of NightMoves Best Male Performer wins among several others. He clearly has the chops and an appreciative director eager to cast him — Seth has appeared in titles directed by Axel numbering well into the double digits.
“I can’t really say that Seth’s performance was a revelation,” says Axel, “because he’s proven to me over and over again that he can play any role and master it even beyond my expectations…but I will say this: there is no other adult actor who could have brought to life Mr. Hyde in a more perfectly nuanced, haunting, charismatic, and deeply disturbing way than Seth Gamble. This project has been 30 years in the making, and I am glad I’ve waited this long, because Seth truly made it the movie that my father, myself, and my son had envisioned.”
The Possession of Mrs. Hyde will be available on VOD Sept. 30.
