But when it came to motivation, being told he could by a friend took a back seat to being told he couldn’t by an established producer with double decades in the business.

“When I got back from Vegas and meeting with Kyle Balls, I told some other producers that I knew that I was going to start my own studio,” said Saxx. “Several of them said it’s about time and one particular producer that has been producing porn for twenty years told me that it was the worst idea ever, that I would hurt my wife’s career by becoming a producer and I would never make it.”

Driven to prove him wrong, Matt was able to outsell his rival in under six months.

“At that point it was my goal to just show everyone I could do it. I was about six months in when my rankings and numbers passed the producer who said I wouldn’t make it.”
