‘The Gardener’ Is the Perfect Couples Halloween Movie, Says Director

VENICE, CA – B.Skow continues to roll out amazing movies and reviews continue to respond with their raves.

Writing for Adult Industry News, Rich Moreland inserted his two cents about Skow’s These Things We Do and out came a quarter’s worth of wisdom.

“As is his style, B Skow hires the best performers available and lets them take their sex scenes and do what they do best,” Moreland writes. “Chemistry between performers is topnotch. Bear in mind, however, that the sex is framed to fit the story, not the reverse.

“B Skow has an imagination and talent that ranks him among the best directors today. These Things We Do is dark and brooding and worth the price of the DVD.”

Over at XCritic, Don Houston wrote about Beautiful New Faces 3, which he found easy to recommend this movie that stars “amazing Carter Cruise, adorable Dakota Skye, spicy Ava DaLush and cute covergal Lilly Evans.”

“Beautiful New Faces 3 was the latest industry starlet showcase series for relatively new newcomers worth knowing about, a broad selection of ladies included here rather than a group that looked much alike,” Houston wrote. “Pick this one up and see what you think because I seriously doubt this is the last we’ll hear of this one as a potential series.”

Houston also took the time to review The Gardener, a feature Skow recently released that was adapted from the Jaycee Dugard story. The director says it is the “perfect couples movie for Halloween” and Houston’s review supports that.

“If you get off to this one, by all means seek help,” Houston writes. “It’s a drama involving kidnapping, pregnancy, and a host of issues you just don’t see every day in porn.

“The whole premise of kidnapping a child and raising her in a garden until getting her pregnant strikes me as far more gruesome than Skow’s previous works with David Stanley,” Houston concludes. “In short, Gardener was a story less suited for sexploitation than just about anything else I’ve seen on the market, no wonder the director tried to shy me away from reviewing it the other day.”

Upcoming titles from Skow include Sexually Explicit 4 and Daddy’s Girls 2. His next movie, American Nannies, releases in November. It is a vignette-style sex movie with a little bit of story.

B.Skow Scoring Great Reviews for Both Gonzo and Features

The Hits Keep on Coming for the Master of All Genres

VENICE, CA – B.Skow isn’t just one of the most diverse directors in adult, he’s one of a handful who is a master of multiple genres.

He’s scored raves and five-star reviews for her features, parodies, gonzo and new girl lines. Most recently he has released a feature and a gonzo featuring fresh faces – The Gardner and Beautiful New Faces 3, respectively – continuing an already-incredible 2014. He also scored an incredible 40% of the Uproxx “Porn As Art: The 10 Best Porn Films Since 2010” list, with five announced this month and five more coming in November.

Don Houston tackles Proud Parents for XCritic, saying “Skow did a fine job outlining some of the issues in the dramedy, his choice of cast selection greatly enhancing the light comedic touches found throughout the movie.”

He also calls it a “breakout role” for Casey Calvert, “who was well cast as the lead.”

Also “I doubt anyone else could have captured the family dynamics as well as Stephen St. Croix and India Summer given both are widely recognized as two of the finest industry actors that can still fuck on command with a degree of passion.”

Captain Jack reviewed Sexually Explicit 3 for Adult DVD Talk, praising a cast that really delivered. “The sexual antics are top notch,” he writes. “AJ is just so fucking sexy and I love watching her perform. Ava is someone who just suddenly came onto my radar, but I am looking for new stuff from her! Lily and Danica are pros at this and they are great to watch!”

Skow’s next production will be Daddy’s Girls 2.

2 B.Skow Movies on ’10 Best Porn Films’ List

‘Sweetness and Light’: ‘One of the Hottest G/G Scenes Ever’

VENICE, CA – One could go through the charts and reviews and watch every movie coming out and discover than B.Skow is certainly among the top directors in recent years. Or you could look at a list compiled by someone who knows.

Dr. Chauntelle Tibbals is one of those people who knows and she’s compiling her top 10 list in a two-part series of Uproxx titled “Porn As Art: The 10 Best Porn Films Since 2010.” This week she unveiled the movies in positions 6 through 10 and Skow fills two of those five slots.

Tibbals says that Pee-Wee XXX (Vivid) and Truth Be Told (Skow for Girlfriends) are both worthy of inclusion.

“Pee-Wee XXX is not a parody of any previously produced mainstream version, oh no. Pee-Wee XXX is next level in its brilliant creativity – it builds off the source material, incorporating key elements into a truly original and clever pornified storyline, resulting in final product that’s nothing short of golden.”

Writing about Truth Be Told, Tibbals calls it “a creepy psychological thriller packed with deplorable characters and startling twists. … It’s amazing. And the style of the film itself is super creepy – very film noir Hitchcock-ish.”

One of Skow’s most recent releases, Sweetness and Light, just scored a great review from Roger T. Pipe, one of the industry’s most respected critics.

Pipe says the girl/girl scene with Siri and Belle Noir is “is one of the hottest lesbian scenes I have ever seen. The ass eating is off the charts hot.” He also writes that Evan Stone and Alektra Blue have “a very hot scene that includes some taboo role play. Really hot work here.”

“Brooklyn is still the best reason to watch this movie,” he continues. “Sadly she is in only one scene, but it’s a hot one. She looks fantastic from head to toe and fucks like the really means it.”

Skow just released two acclaimed movies, The Gardner and Beautiful New Faces 3. The latter is one of his classic takes on newer performers in the industry, this volume featuring a super-charged lineup of Dakota Skye, Carter Cruise, Ava Dalush and Lilly Evans.

The Gardner is vintage Skow with shocking plot twists, shattering of social mores and incredible sex. That one stars Jessie Andrews, A.J. Applegate, Karla Kush, Maddy O’Reilly, Nadia Styles, Alec Knight, Bruce Venture, Clover and Kurt Lockwood.

Next up for Skow is Control, which stars Skin Diamond, Scott Lyons, Claire Robbins, Darla Crane, Alec Knight and Kurt Lockwood. As the title infers, this is a movie about control – mental as much as physical – a psychological thriller that builds sexual tension and pays off with intense hardcore performances. Control releases Oct. 31.

Double Header From B. Skow Due Next Week

New Fleshbot Interview Gets to the Core of the Popular Director

VENICE, CA – We’re just a week away from an incredible day when B. Skow releases two new movies on the same date, the pair crossing the finish line just in time for awards consideration.

On Sept. 26 he will release The Gardner and Beautiful New Faces 3 through his Skow for Girlfriends Films. The Gardner is one of the most-anticipated movies of this busy month as it features not only an edgy screenplay, but the anal debut of superstar Jessie Andrews.

Beautiful New Faces 3 is the latest in Skow’s updated version of his long-running and extremely popular New Faces series. This edition has a lineup of young superstars: Dakota Skye, Carter Cruise, Ava Dalush and Lily Evans.

Writing about New Faces in a recent review, Captain Jack at ADT said that Skow “is a master at making the girls comfortable and bringing out their best for their first scenes,” and a new article by Fleshbot says his “eye for talent is as sharp as it’s ever been.”

Fleshbot’s Tucker Bankshot interviewed Skow and they talked about his move to Girlfriends, and they discussed both next week’s releases.

“Every girl that we shoot, I have to know them, I have to meet them,” he said of the talent in the Beautiful New Faces series. “I’ll put them in one of my other movies in a featured role and if they catch my eye, I book them. That’s how the series started and we’re up to three. It’s doing amazing.”

Fleshbot Offers Exclusive Look at B. Skow’s Upcoming Feature

Pushes More Boundaries With Upcoming ‘The Gardener’

VENICE, CA – We’re just two weeks away from the release of Skow’s new movie, The Gardner (Skow for Girlfriends Films)—another shock and awe feature from the director who is known for pushing the limits both with his stories and with the sex scenes he gets out of both new and established stars.

One of the things that makes this movie special is that it will feature Jessie Andrews’ first-ever on-screen anal scene, and she won’t be doing anal for anyone else for (at least) a year. She also turns in an acting performance in the edgy feature that will blow audiences away. She was the one person Skow thought could pull it all off—but he didn’t know whether or not she would do it.

“When we finished the script I really wanted Jessie for the main role of the kidnapped girl,” Skow said. “It was also important to have the main character do anal because I really wanted to show how she was mentally tortured. Jessie had never done anal and I brought the project to her and she liked the idea of doing anal for the first time in a feature, so we made it happen.”

Inspired by the Jaycee Dugard story, The Gardener is about a girl who is kidnapped a young age and kept confined until she is an adult. Kurt Lockwood plays the former mental patient kidnapper who is obsessed with growing flowers in the creepiest role of his career.

The movie also stars A.J. Applegate, Karla Kush, Maddy O’Reilly, Nadia Styles and Alec Knight. Knight. The movie releases Sept. 26.

‘Proud Parents’ Gets More Great Reviews: ‘Different Than Your Usual Porn’

VENICE, CA – The next big summertime must-see movie will be out August 19 and the trailer will be making the rounds this week.

Sexually Explicit 3 (Skow for Girlfriends Films) is the next release from B. Skow, a fresh take on an old formula starring some of the industry’s top stars. Skow takes AJ Applegate, Ava Dalush, Danica Dillon and Lily Love and elicits astoundingly-erotic tease sequences out of them before capturing them in incredible hardcore scenes.

“A lot of the work is done before we show up on set,” Skow says. “I put a lot of thought into the matchups and which performers are going to be right for every movie.”

Skow puts a lot of effort into creating tease footage that could both stand alone and offers a perfect lead-in to the sex scenes. Danica and AJ both do anal in the movie.

B. Skow Prepping Next Release: ‘Sexually Explicit 3’

‘Proud Parents’ Gets More Great Reviews: ‘Different Than Your Usual Porn’

VENICE, CA – With a string of hits filling DVD players and computer screens around the country, director B. Skow is busy readying his next release, which is sure to be yet another hit.

Sexually Explicit 3 stars AJ Applegate, Ava Dalush, Danica Dillon and Lily Love, with the latter two ladies doing anal scenes. Skow shot the movie in his unique, creative manner, with interesting tease footage and scenes custom-built to their natural instincts and desires for an adult movie experience unlike any other.

Captain Jack at Adult DVD Talk took a critic’s eye look at Proud Parents and enjoyed what he saw. Calling it “a unique tale of two veteran porn stars who are married and their young daughter suddenly wants to join the industry.” He went on to say that it is “not your usual porn and everyone involved did a very good job. There’s even a surprise ending! This is a good exhibition for the talents of Steven, India and Casey both in and out of the sheets. Well worth the investment!”

Roger T. Pipe at RogReviews.com has also weighed in on Proud Parents, making it a “Rog Pick” and giving it 10 of 12 stars overall in a very in-depth review. “Good story, hot cast and really good sex make this another winner from B Skow,” Pipe summarizes.

The movie also received an Editor’s Choice from AVN with a AAAA½ review. Ed stars India Summer, Lily LaBeau, Aiden Ashley, Casey Calvert, Keisha Grey, Steven St. Croix, Scott Lyons and Kurt Lockwood.

Skow has several noms for the 2014 NightMoves Awards: Best Director, twice for Best Feature Production and Best Production Company. Abducted and Daddy’s Girls (both Skow Digital) both received nominations for Best Feature Production.

Kink.com Running First-Ever Full-Length Feature Tuesday With ‘Daddy’s Girls’

VENICE, CA – B. Skow has tapped into a real taboo and it’s not gone unnoticed. This week will mark the first time ever that Kink.com has run a full-length feature on the site when Skow’s Daddy’s Girls becomes available this Tuesday.

While this may seem surprising considering how hardcore the content of Kink’s sites tends to be, being hardcore isn’t limited to pushing physical boundaries. A lot of it is mental, which is where this brilliant feature comes in.

“The Daddy’s Girls story is so taboo that Kink thought it would fit in with the extreme content they provide,” Skow said. “It challenges the viewer in a way they aren’t accustomed to and people are connecting to the movie in a way they don’t expect to connect to an adult movie.”

Daddy’s Girls was one of the most-nominated movies to be released in 2013, with one reviewer saying it was “better than a lot of what I see in mainstream.” More than a few whispered that despite being probably the best movie of the year, its controversial content was too hot for the big trophies.

Skow has continued his controversial streak with Proud Parents, which was so wildly popular upon its release that the DVD was sold out after only two weeks. The movie also stars Keisha Grey, India Summer, Lily LaBeau, Aiden Ashley, Steven St. Croix, Kurt Lockwood, and Scott Lyons. B. Skow’s ‘Proud Parents’ Sells Out in Two Weeks

The Adult Movie of the Summer a Monster Hit With Fans

VENICE, CA – The obituary for the DVD has been written many times, but to paraphrase Mark Twain, the reports of its death have been greatly exaggerated.

Just ask director B. Skow. His latest movie, Proud Parents (Skow for Girlfriends), just released May 27 and already the warehouse at Girlfriends is completely devoid of the discs. On Monday afternoon, one worker thought he’d seen a loose copy over by the stairwell, but when he went to retrieve it, it was gone.

The Proud Parents DVD is sold out and even the guys in the Girlfriends warehouse can get a copy to check out.

That is unbelievable for a new movie. Both Skow and Girlfriends are longtime professionals and they know their audience and generally can gauge sales pretty accurately, but this one got away from them. It has resonated with fans, who have overwhelmed retailers with a barrage of orders.

“The reception for Proud Parents has been fantastic,” Skow says. “We knew we had a really great product and were confident that fans would react strongly, but this has been stunning. We don’t see sales out of the box like this very often anymore and it’s fun to see and to be a part of something that is blowing up so fast.”

Fans and retailers can rest assured that orders will be filled as quickly as possible.

The movie stars Casey Calvert as a daughter of a porn star couple. She is looking to follow her parents’ lead by getting into the industry herself. With a documentary crew in tow—and without the permission of her unsuspecting parents—the movie is raising basic questions about right and wrong while also tapping into issues of hypocrisy, parenting and rebellion.

While the trailer originally ran exclusively on Fleshbot, it is currently running on AVN, Adult DVD Talk and other media outlets.
