Award Season Ends with Star Signing as Production Begins

VENICE, CA – Last year Bluebird Films ran an online contest, offering fans who viewed the trailers for their two epic blockbuster releases – BATFXXX; A Dark Night Parody and Bonny & Clide – the chance to win a full-loaded, 3G Ipad by entering a code after viewing. The contest, which was heavily promoted online using social networks and viral marketing, had literally hundreds of thousands of entries from all over the world. It closed before awards season began, before BATFXXX: A Dark Night Parody had taken in a slew of awards including AVN’S Best Parody – Drama and earned Nicholas Steele Director of the Year – Individual Project from XBIZ. With the rush of award seasons behind them and production ramping back up Bluebird Films is pleased to announce that they have randomly selected a winner. The winner of the Bluebird Ipad contest is none other than Kelli Roberts from Fame Registry.

Steele’s Win Packs a Wallop For Director of the Year

VENICE, CA – It’s a high compliment to have your talent recognized as outstanding in its field, but to be singled out as “The Best”, is an extraordinary honor and that title was bestowed upon Bluebird Films’ Nicholas Steele at last night’s XBiz Awards. In a star-studded ceremony at the legendary Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Steele blew away the competition by winning the top award of Director of the Year – Individual Project for the 2010 blockbuster Batfxxx: Dark Night.

Taking the stage with Bluebird beauty and Batfxxx starlet Madelyn Marie, the veteran director shared the accolades with his “Katwoman” and humbly thanked his cast and crew in addition to XBiz and the sellers and buyers for their appreciation of his work. “I’ve been doing this for a long time,” said the industry legend. “And it’s really satisfying to put together my experience with new technology and fresh concepts in projects that are not only up to my own high standards, but also appreciated by critics and fans alike.
