Male Performer of the Year, Director of the Year, Best New Studio Lead the Way
VENICE, CA – Mick Blue could hardly ask for anything more with his nominations in the 2016 XBIZ Awards, which include recognition for his performances, directing and a big nom for his new studio.
Mick received a nomination for Male Performer of the Year, about the only Performer of the Year trophy he still needs for his shelf. He shares a Director of the Year – Non-Feature Release nomination with Maestro Claudio for Anikka’s Anal Sluts (BAM Visions/Evil Angel). That movie is also up for Gonzo Release of the Year. And BAM Visions, the production created by Mick, Claudio and Anikka Albrite earlier this year, received a nomination for Best New Studio.
Mick also received five Best Scene nominations, including two for Anikka’s Anal Sluts. That movie marked the debut of BAM Visions and featured Mick and wife Anikka in every scene with co-stars AJ Applegate, Gabriella Paltrova, Valentina Nappi and Vicki Chase.
“I want to say thank you so much for all the nominations and congratulate everybody else on theirs,” Mick said. “I am very thankful to everyone who helped make this another great year. And I especially want to congratulate my wife Anikka Albrite on all her nominations this year!”
Last weekend Mick picked up another win at the 2015 Inked Awards, scoring a trophy for Group Scene of the Year for his work with Skin Diamond, Kleio Valentien, Joanna Angel, Natalia Marie, James Deen, Mr. Pete & Mick Blue in Burning Angel’s All About That Orgy.
