XBIZ Awards Adds Transsexual Performer, Site Noms to Long List

VENICE, CA – XBIZ has announced the nominees for the fan voting categories in the 2014 XBIZ Awards and Venus Lux scored nominations for Transsexual Performer of the Year and Transsexual Site of the Year—pushing her sitting total of noms up to an amazing 19. Nine of those nominations—2 for XBIZ and 7 for the 2014 Tranny Awards—will be decided by fan voting.

This has been the biggest year so far by Venus, who closes out 2013 by releasing the first DVD from her new production company, Venus Lux Entertainment. Venus Lux: Fantasies, is now available for pre-order with the street date this week (Dec. 13). The debut disc stars Venus with Eva Lin, John Magnum and Spencer Fox. The new Venus Rising column is up and this week Venus tackles the topic of GLBT. Titled “GLB hold the T,” Venus explains that she thinks there needs to be some separation.

“It’s so interesting to me that a sexual gender gets lumped in with a series of sexual preference identities,” she writes. “It does not make sense and when we are grouped together, to be honest, it offends me. I believe strongly that the transgender community is a separate community of its own.”
