Dana Vespoli Scores Two Director of the Year Noms in 2014 XBIZ Awards

Also: Gonzo Release of the Year, All-Girl Release of the Year, Best Scene

VENICE, CA – With so many great movies directed by Dana Vespoli in 2013, it’s hard to pick which were the very best, but XBIZ gave it a try by issuing six Dana nominations in the 2014 XBIZ Awards.

Dana is nominated twice for Director of the Year, in both the Body of Work and the Non-Feature Release category for her groundbreaking Girl/Boy (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel). That title also earned her a nomination for Gonzo Release of the Year, while She’s Come Undone (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel) won her a nod for All-Girl Release of the Year.

She also has a nomination for Best Scene – Non-Feature Release: Jiz Lee and Manuel Ferrara in Girl/Boy (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel), as well as MILF Performer of the Year.

“I am so, so pleased with the nominations,” Dana said. “Girl/Boy and She’s Come Undone are two movies I feel really passionate about, so it’s very satisfying to see them receive some recognition.”

This year has unquestionably been the breakout year for Dana as a director. She made her debut for Evil Angel this year and every feature she has shot has received an Editor’s Choice review, and all of her releases have been enthusiastically received. She has shown that viewers will embrace adult fare even when wrapped in a more cerebral package than is typical so long as the content is passionate. In Dana’s movies, the added intellectual twist gives a turbo boost to the sex.

Her next release will be Borders of Desire (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel), part of which she recently shot in Berlin, which streets Dec. 4. She also just wrapped the latest installment of Sweetheart’s Girls Kissing Girls, which stars Casey Calvert, Lily Love, Lia Lor, Alina Li, Sinn Sage, Claire Robbins and Vicki Chase. She starts work on her next Evil Angel movie in mid-December.

Her movie Lesbian Adventures: Older Women Younger Girls 3 (Sweetheart Video) is #2 on the HotMovies VOD Chart.
